Dear Parents,
We will be organizing the Salad Club next week. If you have any preferences as to whether this be a weekly or every second week thing, please let me know. I was thinking Tuesday or Thursday would be good options.

We also started our skipping workout today to meet the daily physical activity requirements. We'll skip Thursdays first thing, and Monday just before Flex Block. Feel free to join us if you want a short but good aerobic workout!
Missing work:
Comfort kit information cards needed from Alaric, Jordan, Caleb. Andrea, Hugo, and Solomon will have a second chance to order theirs sometime in the next week or two.
Reminders:

• Culture Day (first Student Council Spirit Day) Friday 29th Wear an outfit that represents the culture of your heritage. Bring an artifact for extra points for your class.
  
• Non-perishable food item for Salvation Army food drive (We have a school goal of 2 items per student)
• Please finish your grade 2 buddy's birthday card by Monday, show me so I can check your name off, and put a reminder in your planner. I can keep your card until you need it or you can paper clip card into your planner on the relevant week.
• Auditions for Fine Arts Festival Talent show next week Tuesday and Friday at lunch in the music room

Ongoing: Keep reading at least 15 minutes a day and fill out your booklist form as you go. Your Independent Reading Duotang is due on Wed. Nov. 17. Though your booklist is right now kept in your Travel Folder, you will put it in your duotang when it is full or when the duotang is due.
Soon I will be assigning questions about the independent reading that will refer to fiction, so if you have been reading many non-fiction books, please choose some novels the next few weeks.
**Monday, Nov. 1 The good copy of your personal anecdote is due on Monday. Be sure to use your grading checklist I gave you to help you get the best score possible.
