Socials Homework for March 24
Due to Theme Week (from Friday, March 26 through Thursday, April 1st) there will be no other Socials homework from Mrs. De Boer. The only homework you will have for Theme Week will be completing your note taking and journal entries. These will be graded for Socials for the third term.

We've started term 3! Today we officially closed the Olympics with an "All School Write". It was good for us all to reflect on these last two weeks!

Tuesday, March 2 Complete the second half of the "raccoon" pages on percent conversions. You will get the most out of the practice if you do one or two on each page and keep doing this until you are done all of them. It is easy to do a bunch on one page that are all alike. When you change the types of questions often, your brain has to think through what to do, and you will learn it better.
SPELLING & VOCAB
We will be taking a sabbatical from our regular spelling and vocab work to focus on the rich vocabulary in the book we started to read today: The Gammage Cup
Tues. March 2 Complete the fill in the blank vocab assignment.
Thursday, March 4 You will have a spelling quiz on the list of words from chapter 1. There will also be a vocab quiz on these same words. They may be matching or fill in the blanks, like the practice ones you have been given to work on
ENGLISH LIT:
Tues. March 2 Set a new term 3 reading goal. Have it signed.
Be sure to list the books you read, the authors, number of pages and your rating of the books in order to earn your independent reading marks.
Tues. March 2 Complete the second Chapter 1 Discussion question by summarizing the information in the question, making good inferences, and backing up your answer with details from the book. Use complete sentences.

Tidy up binders, keep your travel folder current with only work that needs to be done in it. All completed work should be handed in or put in the correct section of your binder.
