Mrs.Newman Monday Oct. 25

Dear Parents,
I reminded the students that believe it or not we are rounding the bend towards the end of term 3! There will be a fair number of tests and other assessments over the next few weeks. Also, just a reminder that independent reading is always something that can be done. There is the book list to fill in as they go. Students will need one completed fiction books under their belt soon for an assessment of their understanding of the literary term "plot". Healthy snacks, both those brought from home and those enjoyed from our fruit and vegee baskets are still very popular. I understand there was a successful salad club last year. I will start this up, organizing it this week and beginning in earnest next week. I am also finding that flex block time is beginning to settle in to a time when most students have decided on projects and are enthusiastically working on them. Some are already on their second one for the year.
